Children's Eye Institute of Savannah

The Office of John M. DeVaro, M.D. and Elizabeth Murray, O.D.

Dr. John DeVaro has been practicing pediatric ophthalmology in Savannah since 1997. He is excited to have Dr. Elizabeth Murray, an optometrist with a special interest in pediatrics, join the Children's Eye Institute of Savannah.

In addition to conducting routine children's eye exams, the Children's Eye Institute specializes in strabismus (crossed or deviated eyes), amblyopia (lazy eye), congenital tear duct obstruction, congenital cataract, congenital glaucoma, and retinopathy of prematurity (ROP).

Call our office to make an appointment today!

We at the Children's Eye Institute of Savannah hope that everyone is staying safe as we (hopefully) slowly return to the "new normal." We are slowly and cautiously expanding our hours of operation and have begun offering elective surgery when safe and appropriate. All persons over 2 years of age are required to wear masks in the office and we are currently holding to the one parent/one child rule for appointments. We look forward to seeing you soon and consider it a privilege to participate in the eye care of your children.
